The iView team have released their first update since the Microsoft Acquisition:
We are pleased to announce the latest free update for iView MediaPro - Version 3.1.2 - is now available for download from the iView Web site. The first comprehensive update since iView’s acquisition by Microsoft this summer, MediaPro now delivers significantly more robust performance, including clearer error reporting and improved memory handling for both Mac and Windows customers, as well as a number of minor feature enhancements.
"You can all continue to use and buy iView products knowing that they will be fully supported as Microsoft evolves the products in the future on both the Windows and Mac platforms." -- Yan Calotychos, founder of iView.
New changes and enhancements include:
• Action log now reports activity for more features of MediaPro.
• Added support for cameras in PTP mode (Win).
• Batch rename now sorts as the view order and appends an incrementing number to the filename if a filename clash occurs.
• Improved Scroll Lock mode in Light Table. On Macs, the Option key resets offsets while scrolling
• Dates displayed in the Info Panel now adjust to changes in the date format preference.

In case you don't know, iView MediaPro is a Digital Asset Management tool aimed at creative professionals, in particular photographers. It has great management and workflow tools; Supports the XMP metadata standard and enables batch conversion from RAW to other formats among other things. Oh and there is a Windows and Mac version. Sweet.
I use it for sifting through all the stuff I shoot; there is a lightbox for comparing similar shots and a very nice way of tagging and sifting. It has a scripting API which enables you to write plugins such as this one which converts all the selected items to JPG and then uploads them to my blog using webservices:
There are product demos available for Mac and Win and also free viewers for opening and displaying iView catalog files.
